I agree with you that an Allegiant's type contract would never make it to a vote. However, the company's offer 18 months ago was NOT better than the contract signed by the Allegiant's pilots:

Spirit offer DOS:
5 year CA $160
12 year CA $186

Allegiant contract DOS:
5 year CA $180
12 year CA $216

I also want Spirit to be able to attract qualified pilots, but unfortunately there is nothing I can do to achieve that. This dilemma falls into Management's hands and unfortunately they can't see the forest through the trees.
