Just kidding???
I turned 47 today, am thinking of applying as well. Had a career in banking, retired at 40. Have been bored out the wazoo. Can only play so much golf, online poker, and online investing. Have tried to get into the corporate aviation world, but have been told I need 200 multi to get in the right seat of king air. (Insurance requirement).I own a bonanza A36, love it as far as payload, speed, and operating cost. Don't really want to sell it to pay 3 times the operating cost to go 20 knots faster in a baron in order to build multi time. I figure a few years at a regional would give me all the experience I would need. The wife is Okay with it, think she wants me out of the house. I love flying, and have always had a lot of respect for the 121 guys. I may give it a try. Just wondering if the fact that I have not been gainfully employed for 7 years will hurt my chances?
