Just wondering how many hours a month is achievable for someone willing to work? I'm currently flying 100 block per month and making $5-6k/month. Could I do that there too?
Thank you
Yes but only as a line holder. Reserves in a lot of bases rarely fly more than 15 hours a month. We have an adjustment period that is only available to line holders, where you can pick extra flying including reserve days. Even in an overstaffed base or slow month, line holders have access to all they can eat. We have lots of year 2 FO's here making $10k+ a month with 100 credit. I make more than my buddy at Delta who is on the same year/seat/ac as me on the months that I feel like picking up my credit but I work a little harder than he does to do it since their rates are much higher. The premium pay over 81 hours helps close the gap though. With that being said, growth has slowed here with the fleet transition so you may spend some time on reserve or on a composite line with little opportunity to credit much more than guarantee but if you're willing to move anywhere you'll be a line holder pretty quick somewhere.
