OK OK OK. So an average line flies 80/month and 960 per year just doing average flying yet you worked your ass off and only flew 900 hours...

Lol. I don't even think we are talking about the same thing. I'm talking about a NH trying to get to 1000/2500 hours. With 103 lines the company has 70 reserve pilots. Next month it gets better with 105 lines and 40-50 reserve pilots. (I can't remember the exact number.) We usually have 50-60 reserve pilots to cover 100 lines.

Simply put -- A NH not wanting to be based in LGA on the 145 will have longer reserve times and inefficient junior lines which could cause him/ her to not get 1000 hrs before he/she could hold a CA slot.
