I recently finished renewing my flight instructor certificate online (I heartily endorse the Jeppesen program, by the way), which got me to thinkin' - something I don't do very often.
How many of you have kept your Flight Instructor credentials current since you've become airline pilots? If you are keeping them current, do you do it online or via a live Flight Instructor Refresher Clinic? For you CAs out there: how many of you keep yours current based on captain's duties?
I renewed mine via AOPA. It was really easy, took only about 1-2 hrs. I was going to go up in a 172 a few months back but didnt work out, Im taking my 1st 2nd yr paycheck and going up for a good BFR. I have a buddy that wants to take some lessons, I'm going to try and fly some single engine as much as I can with the little extra cash I will be getting, well see, but I am probably never going to let it expire, last thing I want to do is go up in a 172 and do another CFI ride.............
