I'll add one more thing...

About 3-6 months out, don't just think about saving some leave for a job fair....plan on actually going! Take that spiffy new suit and your resume to the next AIR Inc, WIA or whatever job fair. Take the family, make a vacation out of it, if you have to. The bottom line is that it works.

I just dragged myself to AIR Inc in DC this past weekend, and today the one airline I thought would never call me was the first to invite me for an interview. Of course they may be the only one, but you won't see me complaining about that.
