It wasn't that long ago Piedmont couldn't staff their new 145s. It took them a painfully long time to get the operation up and running, plus triple time pay, junior mans galore, and a flow agreement for the BillyHoes of the industry to show up to work. Side story: about a month back commuting to work in my awac captain attire had a plain clothed fellow ahead of me as we deplane in Philly ask who I'm with. Though the badge says Air Wisconsin maybe he's just a regular Joe making small talk. But he's in fact former Piedmont who flowed to AA. The best part was when he asked when I'd upgrade. I thought the 4 bars gave it away as clearly as the red badge stating my employment. Then he shoveled off in his acid wash jeans tucked into his boots. I actually wondered if it was Billy. We need more T28driver types at awac and luckily that's who we generally attract. I certainly didn't come here to tolerate the place for a few years like I'm picking trash roadside doing community service. I've enjoyed it, have made good money while at a regional, and have fun watching the 401k grow while I decide where the next best fit is. The bonuses and United flying is all brand new and it will take a period to get caught up. Prex, I believe you were hired and left well before any bonuses and United were in the picture. Guys bailed left and right back then and I can't say I blame them. But the general vibe lately are people are sticking around rather than move laterally for worse contracts, healthcare, ect ect...
