(a) Training time and aeronautical experience. Each person must document and record the following time in a manner acceptable to the Administrator:
(1) Training and aeronautical experience used to meet the requirements for a certificate, rating, or flight review of this part.
(2) The aeronautical experience required for meeting the recent flight experience requirements of this part.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you don't work in the 121 world. Everything is automatically recorded and tracked in the company system. That system is what documents and demonstrates to the Administrator that everything is legal. We don't ever whip out a logbook to show anything. Back in the day, CA upgrades had to show a logbook for the ATP certificate, but now that you need an ATP to get a job the only time you're going to show anyone a logbook is for an interview.
