You're right - I have not walked in your shoes nor do I want to PAL. Seems your shoes have made some pretty bad decisions in your life. On the other hand, my shoes have made some pretty dumb decisions along my way but I wouldn't expect you to pay the same price or a price to make me whole for those decisions. I'll live with it - PAL.
Maybe Andy, your BPFE, should tone down the pity party explanation of your argument to avoid raising the retirement age. Once you remove the self interest and silly retribution aspects of your argument it's pretty basic and fair for all at all ages and seniority to eliminate the mandatory retirement age.
I'm much closer to retirement than Andy or Sonny and am opposed to raising the age. If you can't afford to retire at 65 and you have been here 25+ years. Then, it's all on you and you poor planning that makes retiring a financial dilemma.
If I have read correctly they were both furloughed twice. How many times were you put on the street in your career at UAL?
