Call me crazy, but my theory is in a few months anyone with 1,000 hours of 121 will be able to upgrade. I think the 79% will drop, but I doubt it goes lower than 40% of FOs bypassing. I think in a few months the company is going to run out of enough FOs with 1,000 hours that are willing to upgrade. The saving grace might be if there are enough previous airline FOs that haven't upgraded yet and don't mind being on reserve for 2-3 years. Otherwise I'm guessing the company is going to increase the captain bonus and include new upgrades to entice more senior FOs to change their bid. Like I said before, I'll sit reserve for endeavor type bonuses. Until then, I'm waiting for a line.
