I always thought that was what Yield Fare tickets were for. My kiddos are still too young, so I haven't needed to test it yet.

A friend's adult son is able to travel somehow on us for a fee. I've never asked exactly how, but always assumed it was at the Yield Fare rate that pops up next to the Buddy Pass price fwiw.
