I'm not denying the iPad may be the best solution. When evaluating the total cost of the EFB, Delta has to include the cost of hardware, training and support. I suspect this formula would heavily favor the iPad. The decision gets even easier if Jeppesen abandons Windows. It is probably a good decision for Jeppesen, as it lets them focus resources on one platform instead of two.
