Does the free texting work on United? I used it a lot on GoGo flights but I don't think it works with United WiFi.
On some 737s you can text from iDevice to iDevice, and you can also receive email at your United email account, when you connect to United_wifi but don't pay for internet access.
I don't know why it works sometimes, but not others. I have not been able to figure out any pattern.
