You absolutely do have that right. I commend you on voicing your opinion and sticking to it. Do as you choose.
That being said, I think the flack you are receiving is because your "YES" vote is for very selfish reasons, as you have stated. If I'm misreading your comments then I'm sure you will correct me. You most likely came here under pretenses of getting a quick upgrade and moving on. If you plan on moving on, why not leave your following pilots with a stronger contact?
If you vote no, the contract goes back to mediation, the pay will most certainly not go down, and you can have a healthier contract that YOU will benefit from and one that you can proudly speak about.
Don't be a cheerleader for "this is the best we can get."
