Every year they come out with some ridiculous number for the next year. Recently we've been getting the 300-400 pilots/year number when we only have 10-12 deliveries. Anybody with half a brain knows it doesn't make any sense, yet they do it year after year. And people believe it year after year. Why do they do this? IDK. Just something to keep in mind, especially if you are in the pool wading.
Stated hiring for 2017....400 pilots.
As of latest CP email....number reduced to 250 for the year.
Reason: they miscalculated the attrition by 40 guys
JB math: 400-40=250
Same as it ever was.
