Given the propensity for Boeing and Airbus to miss timelines, I would be hard pressed to believe that we can stretch the 767-300 another 8-10 years while the industry waits for the 797. Methinks A321NEO LR is far more likely as a candidate to replace the 756 fleet. In fact I really think it's the ONLY candidate. Don't get me wrong . . . I'd love to fly a 797 as I'm sure it would be a spectacular plane, but I just think Boeing is way too late in joining the party on this one.
