If not, I believe, the recommendations will carry less weight. As well, it's been my good fortune to have gotten 4 guys on board here, and I can tell you it's all about perseverance. Perseverance from the sponsor mostly. He needs to touch base with his ACP fairly often, each time bringing up his sponsored guys name. This has worked for me in all cases. Don't be a pain in the butt, but do be persistent. The above having been said, I truly don't know how the new hiring system will work, what with our new Chief Pilot, but I can say that life in general is less about knowledge and more about guts, timing, and persistence.

As a side note, having a good relationship with your ACP can pay dividends, in lots of ways, the sponsorship process being one of them.
