I will say that again: They are not male or female. They are somewhere in between.

According to some laws, they will not be able to use a restroom, because they are not male, and not female. Some people think they should not be allowed to get married.

Some of these people decide they want to be a gender, so they have surgery/therapy to make them look more like one of the genders. Others, are given surgery/therapy at birth to make them "fit" one of the genders. This often backfires, because they didn't get to choose. They may, when they are of age, decide they don't want to be the gender their parents/doctors chose for them, and may have surgery/therapy to change to the other gender.

All of the above are good reasons to let humans marry whom they want, and use the bathroom that they feel suits them best.
