You're right, transgender is not a science in itself, but it is absolutely scientific to find out why so many people are seeking out gender reassignment surgery. The pursuit, in itself, is science. Is there anything genetic that is similar between them? Is there a link to intersex people? What is the correlation between the two and the body's production of testosterone and estrogen? All of this is science. In fact, the only thing that isn't science is the closed-minded response that anyone who isn't like me is mentally deranged and just wants to touch children.

Interesting aside. I was on a layover in an American city the other day walking through the mall when I had to go to the restroom. I walked up to a large open area where in the center, there were several sinks. To the right, were stalls and to the left were urinals and stalls. There, in plain sight, men, women and children were responsibly using the restroom and then sharing sinks to wash their hands before going about their shopping. No one was being groped or creepy or inappropriate.
