August is insane on their part but maybe they are finally starting to see the writing on the wall as far as needed to attract quality applicants.
Yea, that's really low turnout. Last July there were a couple hundred at the DFW job fair, looking at both Spirit and Frontier, right after Frontier started requiring the 2 year payback contract.
That said, I have 2 very smart ex-military friends who recently opted for skywest, didn't even apply at Spirit F9 or Allegiant. Too much emotional baggage associated with those 3, might as well just build 121 hours as quickly as possible and jump straight to a Legacy, making the same or more $$$ that first year.
