Spent 2 years on furlough. I was lucky. Many were out for far longer.
Hated watching guys pick up open time. White, green, yellow or otherwise.
All this just proves once again that the contract is there to protect us from ourselves as much as it is to protect us from management.
And I don't even have that much of a problem with OOBWS these days.
Nobody's on furlough anymore.
Although it is a bit of a seniority "end-around".
I just wish they wouldn't do it on days when reserve coverage is negative.
I guess its possible they're not aware or just not paying attention.
Maybe some of them will read this forum and a light bulb will go on.
Again you can only get a OOB white slip if there is no reserve coverage.
