It's funny that you think green slips increase QOL/pay for a majority of the pilot group when it's really a small minority that benefit from green slips in most categories. Plus it costs the company more in payroll which decreases profits which decreases profit sharing for EVERY pilot come February. Oh come on. Pilots aren't more deluded or more self serving than anyone else. Have you been around college students? flight attendants? educators? union leadership? politicians? Hare Krishna? Krishna Krishna? Hare? Rock Stars? Drug addicts? Addicted Rock Stars? Yada Yada Yada...
The world, broad brush speaking, is self serving. Pilots are no different in that respect than anyone in your neighborhood. Self loathing isn't very becoming.
