A maxed out small cabin NJA Captain in their early fifties will make considerably more over their career moving to SWA even if they never upgrade. I think there is a lot of confusion about how we're paid. Yes, you have to work it, but the opportunity to make a lot of money for those who do is really there.
Can you show some math? I've run my numbers and found it wouldn't be worth it for a NJA PIC to move to SWA after the age of the mid 40s. I tried to compare apples-to-apples.
I even assumed a SWA upgrade after 10 years (55 year old in this case).
