Generally they seem to be able to get you into a CTP class as soon as you can make it happen. Adds a few extra days to training but you will get paid for it. I was able to start ground school the week after completing CTP sims. This was on the CRJ, I've heard rumors the ERJ is a longer wait but I don't know anything definite on that side.
They'll still put ERJ guys on the CRJ sim for CTP. Well they were last Christmas time. I don't know if that changed with the whole bigger Denver Flight Safety. I did mine 1 month prior to class. The earlier the better. Just get that awful written out of the way and enjoy your freedom before ground school.
