I am shocked about fatigue. I wonder if the FAA knows that Mesa penalizes a crewmember who is fatigued. A lot of things can contribute to fatigue, such as an emergency experienced earlier in the day. The thought that a significant amount of income is penalized is unconsciousable. It goes to the management mindset that pilots use fatigue as an excuse, rather than using fatigue as a method to keep the safety of the passengers as their highest priority.
