This is definitely NOT the case. It's actually, how little of an increase in total compensation can we offer and get 50%+1 of the vote. The farther they are from that target, the more they overpaid. Because anything more than that reduces profit. And management has a legal fiduciary to stock holders ONLY, not pilots. Pilots need to have their own legal fiduciary entity to advocate for their total compensation. Without that fiduciary, the pilots will always get less than they could've gotten.
Any belief other than that, I feel is naive.

Either way, your pay increase is still woefully below expressjet pilot total compensation.
