We're hoping for the best too. The termination of our VP of FlightOps is definitely a step in the right direction...unless they promote the Chief Pilot, then I fear it will be more of the same.
My understanding is that Air Group paid for our Chief Pilot to get her MBA, and she's pretty clearly aiming (or being groomed) for an executive position, so I can absolutely see them giving her the job.
If Air Group wanted to actually solve the problems at QX, they'd give the job to someone from outside the company who has experience dealing with stuff like the dumpster fire that's going on here, but I fully expect them to just get another "yes-man" to fill the position.
