Food-stamp wages, no duty-rigs, completely non-productive schedules, PBS, months on reserve yet I can count on one hand how many times I WASN'T on airport standby. Twice I called crew scheduling to call in sick - and I was told, "no, sorry - you can't." Same when I called in fatigued - second time in my career I fatigued-out, and was told BY A SUPERVISOR that I wasn't allowed to. Never mind that we lose the pay if we fatigue-out. Hotels were the worst I've ever seen. A few of them actually asked the crew for our credit card numbers - telling us that their manager requested this since apparently JO doesn't pay his crew hotel bills.

Lots of good people there trying to make it better, but with JO at the helm I just don't see it changing for the better.

Sully referring to Mesa as a 'bottom feeder' the other day was probably the most accurate description of this company that I've ever heard.
While some of this believable, I call BS on the "no, sorry - can't call out sick/fatigue." They are stupid up there, but not that stupid. I am sure there was more to the conversation.
