The contract says staging not business. Just wondering if we would still be covered in the "no harm, no foul" rule. Or is the only way we get the "no harm, no foul" trip removal is if we were booked in the staging (7?) category?

BP4:
•Company travel in lieu of company-purchased tickets (or as otherwise authorized)

I don't see how Staging fits in there until the "otherwise authorized" is loosely interpreted. FCIF 17-0279 explains that BP4 can be used "when that jumpseat travel, if it was via a commercial carrier, would be an allowable/reimbursable deviation expense under Section 8.C.3.a.i. and Section 8.C.4. or would be authorized by another section of the collective bargaining agreement (e.g., Section 5.H.2.). For example, jumpseat travel within 3 days of a company-scheduled activity (e.g., trips, r-days, training events, etc.) may be booked in BP4 status." At least it's an FCIF now instead of an e-mail that someone remembers but can't find.

If you live in Los Angeles and Book BP7 Staging, and I'm flying a trip with a back-end deadhead from LAX to MEM, I can book BP4 in lieu of that deadhead, as long as it's 3 days beforehand and bump you from your staging jumpseat. How do we feel about that? Previously Business could not bump Staging.
