As well as the Chief Pilot.
(Okay - maybe I was an ungrateful jackass . . . but that's beside the point)
Never had a problem with anyone in mgmt whom I came in contact with. In fact, I spoke privately with a few of them about how far behind Mesa is compared to the other regionals. They didn't disagree - although for them this is their one-and-only airline. It's hard to compare when you haven't been around the territory - and lived to tell about it.
We can differ in our opinion - that's fine. But please don't imply that I'm lying . . . or even embellishing any of this. There's a reason Mesa has the reputation that it does. I have my theory as to why it has been allowed to continue . . . but that's all it is - a theory
I never said you were lying. All I know is that I have never had any issues like that. I am the type of person that will only call in sick if I am actually sick. I see so many people calling in sick for any reason what so ever. Not because they are sick, but they just do not want to go to work for what ever reason.
Today an email was sent out by the IAH assistant chief pilot saying there was a large number of pilots calling in sick today. He went on to say that if anyone has an interview at another airline to please just ask for a personal day. Management at regionals know that most of the pilots there are looking for other jobs. It is just a part of the industry.
I had one of our captains in my Jumpseat a few months ago telling me he was going to call out sick on the trip before his vacation so he could have a longer time off. To me it is sick calls like that making things harder for people calling in when they are actually sick.
I am not saying you do anything like the things I have just mentioned. I am just venting. And guess what, it was your post that started my vicious release. LOL
