Look, management is doing everything they can to fight the reality that they are struggling to attract qualified pilots. Part of that is hiring every 2 year 2500 hour pilot they can find. No offense to you, but the fact that you have an interview scheduled and you're still under 2 years is evidence of that. It may seem exciting to have an interview at an Airbus carrier, but just know that behind you is a never ending line of guys just like you who want to come. The numbers are being padded so management can drag this on and on. Thankfully the market powers are on our side.
no offense taken. i am exactly that, just shy of 2 years, 2600 total time. and i also realize by me going to job fairs and proactively trying to get on with spirit is indirectly hurting negotiations. from everyone I've talked to at spirit overall it really isn't that terrible of a place to work, everyone i speak with enjoys it, just wishes they had better compensation. I know it could take a while, but i wanted to get in before the contract or at least have a class date prior to the contract because once it does go thru, i think a lot more people are going to try to make the jump over to spirit and i want to be ahead of that wave.
