I'd say it is typical for my seniority range but not consistent. You can't do what I did every month of the year but you can certainly do it 4-6 months a year easily. I also have the ability to choose which months I want to 'screw the man' with my schedule. Bid transition. Bid days off. Bid credit. Bid trips. Bid layovers. Etc. We don't have the predictability of the NJA 7/7 that I was on but I have far, far, far, far more control over when I work and where I layover. For comparison, I had 17 consecutive days off in July and 10 in August and I haven't missed an event that I wanted to attend in over two years. Throw in buddy passes and the ability to choose my layovers and I bring my 'friends' with me on long layovers. Not a ****ing contest but just a comparison for those interested. FYI, our pay sucks.
