I'd take the first class offered.

Definitely have a car for training. It also makes your life so much better if you commute later on.

If you think you are going to want the SDF domicile bring crashpad essentials now so you don't have to drive them back later or lug them on flights.

Clubs and/or bicycle, etc.. Should be enough good weather remaining to justify bringing them.

If you get the hotel vs the suites option I've heard some guys brought an old toaster, microwave oven, and kitchen basics to be able to eat some of their meals in.

Some kind of password keeper. You'll get access to all the company stuff which is 10+ Sites if I recall, then the ones for union, benefits, and so on. Though some might be better off just leaving their smartphones at home for a year....

I'd join all the airline Freq flyer clubs, major hotel chains, get uber & Lyft accts while you have downtime before class. Just 1 less thing to have to do. The suites allowed us to get points when we went thru initial and I think that's still the case.

The classifieds section of the Bar and Grill can come in handy as is the search function once you're off oe and operating in the system. Outside of the classifieds dont post or participate on it during your probation year. The layover database is a gem for layover info. Get the IPA app early on as well.

Last but most important: keep your eyes wide open and bring a costco sized supply of expectation zero.

That's all I can think of. Congratulations and welcome.
