"Hydroplaning"..... implies it wasn't your fault. As if the conditions themselves caused this and there was little you could do.

Being distracted and slamming on the brakes hard enough to cause an uncontrollable spin/crash on a crowded highway full of cars who all managed to control their vehicles is 100% your fault.

Be careful how you describe things. It reeks of blame deflection and unwillingness to accept responsibility for ones mistakes.
