I can honestly say I never flew with asshats like that when I was on the panel. You shoud have come back without a missing a beat with "..the same number you had to suck to get thru your Capt checkride". Then again, maybe not on probation.
That is all good in hind site. But when you arent expecting it, you are floored in amazement and are not thinking of a good comeback.
