Well seems like lately some have accepted the invite and then turned them down, and others leave in the first year, so maybe just getting applicatants is not such a great plan.
With the Pilot Shortage getting worse and worse, I don't see how Hawaiian is avoiding problems like the above. I was just reading the UAL thread, and how they are having problems with people not showing for the interview, for new-hire class, or leaving class sometime between Day 1 and the end of their first year at UAL. I don't think Hawaiian would be better off than UAL.
