I do not believe a merger is imminent. The IPO is a big pay day for the investors. As long as both Frontier and Spirit are growing and profitable, there's just no need to go through the painful merger process. I just don't see it as being as inevitable as you all seem to. At least in the short term.
And I really don't think they are going to merge 2 airlines just to delay a pilot contract.
