The SkyWest Leasing segment includes revenue attributed to our E175 ownership cost earned under the applicable fixed-fee contracts, and the depreciation and interest expense of our E175 aircraft. The SkyWest Leasing segment’s total assets and capital expenditures include the acquired E175 aircraft. The SkyWest Leasing segment additionally includes the income from CRJ200 aircraft leased to a third party.
I have no other insight but if they cannot place them domestically, skywest May have no choice but to lease them to someone who will fly them. It seems to me like a risk I wouldn’t take, but that’s their decision. Assuming the aircraft get delivered.
When you say lease "them" what are you referring to?
The existing aircraft? That's not what I'm asking about, yet its a common answer for some reason. Or are you referring to the gates in ATL? If so, are you saying that SKYW forever owns the rights to those gates and can lease them to whomever they want to?
If its not that, then what happens to them and when?
No one seems to know.
