The status quo will be maintained, that's really the best answer. Skywest will cancel the MRJ order in my opinion, too much risk to shareholders involved in it. Mitsubishi is facked if you ask me.
In the extreme case, I suppose Skywest could spin off an alter-ego carrier, and jv/codeshare with it, but that is a real gray area. I don't think you could fight that at the NMB, it would be up to Delta management to sue or not, they probably would if it was competition.
I think DALPA could have an NMB case should it come to that, but I agree that it probably won't. DL didn't take too kindly to ACA's little experiment and SKYW attempting it would likely be viewed as an even more severe threat.
But what is the deal on the ATL gates? Who owns/leases them and for how long, and what happens then?
