Easy there, killer. I'm trying to have a reasonable and civil conversation on APC (I know, **** me, right?)
Clearly this isn't your first rodeo, and you've seen this before. I mean are you really surprised? Like regional airlines doing **** like this actually surprises you? Come on, man. XJT would do the same thing if the tables are turned, just like any other airline. It's all about bodies in seats and they don't really care how they go about doing it.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether PSA really NEEDS to do an open house or not. XJT guys and gals have been kicked in the juevos enough to the point where it's probably not even necessary. Look, some are going to find the email distasteful and say "**** those guys" and not go, and some will see an opportunity and attend. So what? It is self serving in PSA's part? Totally. Again, so what? It's business and you know as well as I do that management doesn't give a **** if something will upset a pilot group. You may not like it, but I'm pretty sure more than a couple of guys a XJT aren't really concerned about that YOU think, because they have their families to look after first. And they're probably pretty ****ed off and frustrated too. I would be.
But go ahead and be upset, I guess. I'm sure recruiting departments industry wide will have a change of heart based on your disdain for PSA's open house and just not hire XJT guys because it ****es you off.
