It's likely demand driven... all of the Wholly Owned pilot recruitment offices have been swamped by XJT pilots looking to jump ship. With the new integrated seniority list, I've got a friend who lost 1000#s overnight. They're a lot closer to the bottom in the event of the furlough if XJTs remaining contract flying isn't enough to provide work for the pilots it has remaining at the company after the Exodus.
Don't get mad at the airlines extending your pilot group an olive branch by making it easy to transition, you may be needing them one day if XJT looses more contracts.
