PSA has been hiring lots of XJT pilots in the last week. I have heard that there have been numerous hired via Skype this week, with more scheduled to interview next week.

For pilots based in the Southeast (anywhere near Atlanta), PSA is an obvious choice.

I am sorry that you are hurt by this, but this is how every industry works.

If AA cancelled the contract and then tried to pick up the pilots at their WO, that would be offensive. But that didn't happen here. Delta (well, SkyWest management to be exact) just made some decisions that will hurt a lot of pilots. All PSA did was to say that IF you want to come here, we will make it easy.

There was one XJT guy that applied and did a Skype interview the next day. He was offered any available class, and he picked one starting the following week. He was scheduled to be off at XJT, so gave his two week notice and will be at PSA before his 2 week notice is even up.

There is nothing wrong with that. A pilot that was in a bad situation at a sinking company that will likely have more cuts in the future will have a stable job at a stable company with good pay and benefits. Heck, he will likely upgrade in less than a year and have a flow waiting for him in 6-7 years if he wants it.
