I was a OO "cadet pilot".
They positive space you in and you sit in with their new hire classes at first day on Indoc in SLC. Beautiful woman gives a presentation on the company, benefits including travel (which is way better than our travel), then they take your picture, thumb print, and drug test you, and do presentation and meet and greet with an assistant chief pilot where you can ask questions. I asked the ACP "so how long is upgrade time right now" he said "haha you don't have to worry about that! You'll be at mainline before you even upgrade!!"
Interviews are next day on the spot and they also let you keep your seniority date from the first cadet program you attend after getting a CJO. Free lunch, flashed a shiny Alaska E175 and 360 photo op and then positive space you home. Couple weeks later you get a hand-written thank you card from a recruiter and a crew cadet ID badge.
That's tough to compete with. How many 800 hour RATP CFI's are going to turn that down?
Side note: my 300 hour CFI friend is already traveling the world on travel benefits he somehow got from a GoJet cadet program. He's excited for his $75,000 first year pay there, too
