United can't buy Spirit. UAL is the most hated mainline and can't keep from screwing up on a weekly basis. They don't have anywhere near the consumer fan base nor goodwill to absorb a turd like Spirit. Southwest could absorb the stink or perhaps jetBlue. But UAL/NK would be like watching fat lesbian porn dubbed in southern drawl.
