Yes there are lots of training delays, but what I'm hearing is new hires starting today and beyond are pushing straight through training with minimal breaks between anything.

New hires are given base and equipment based on age in class. 95% of the time the DFW 175 is going to the most senior in the class. Recently there is about 8 to 12 of those slots offered per class. The rest are going to the 145 with choice of LGA or ORD. There are usually 4 or so CRJ ORDs offered as well and those go most junior.

There typically is a vacancy bid offered every two to three months. So if you get the 145 you could eventually end up in the base you want if it's offered in the vacancy bid. Crj is specific to ORD and 175 is currently specific to DFW.

...175 base for ORD will most likely be coming soon in the next vacancy bid...so I would say DFW 175 will become extremely senior soon. So if you want DFW plan to be in another base for at least 6months or more before you will even be awarded DFW and probably just under a year before you actual transfer to DFW.

Captain upgrade time is about 2.5years (average). People will say it's 4months, but that's if you have the 121 flight time, if you want to be airport standby for 2years and JM'd professionally.

Envoy is looking on the up and up. Most complaints are on the schedules and reserve rules right now. Many other airlines are worse off. Not a bad place to build experience and chill before you head off to a legacy.
