Performance and the resolution of contract grievances can be and often are linked. Also it is not my job to worry about the company's "competitiveness in the regional marketplace". It is my job to follow the book and fly an airplane safely.
The company needs to learn it will only survive in this market if it looks after its pilot group. The American planes are under contract and the Delta planes will never leave this operating certificate (89,000 lbs). There are no growth opportunities in the regional market place as of right now so let that thought go.
