I don't think GoHomeLeg is arguing that performance is related to grievances. Rather, someone willing to drop the brake early, sell vacation, or pick up open time to help the company is not helping the cause.
Unions are designed so that the pilot group has one voice collectively addressing our interests.
So by picking up open time or selling your vacation back, you're weakening the ability of your pilot group to negotiate improvements.
