If you had to be surrounded by a bunch of people in a disaster, one of my first choices would be a bunch of Texans. They will all help each other out, and move on.
Good luck to them, but I am sure they will pull through just fine, and have a bunch of stories to tell for years.
You've never been through a major hurricane before, have you? It's not a "life experience" I would wish on anyone. They'll be suffering the aftermath of this for years, many will face financial ruin. Families will be uprooted and many have been decimated of everything they own.
