Idk abt who paid what. What i do know is alpa told the flight instructors to get lost when it became apparent the GA board of revenue was mounting an investigation.
The official finding stated sumthing like...there was no greater issue at stake for delta pilots, so wer not going to get involved.
Privately, i was informed...you *******s in the training department arent really alpa pilots.
All that changed at some point and alpa spared no expense hiring AA accounting to negotiate settlement wth GA.
Im sure it had nothing to do with the revalation the mec chair was claiming a FL residience.....wth a house, wife, and kids in GA.
The MEC chair issue preceded the training department issue and was actually the trigger that led GA to investigate. Not sure what ALPA's involvement in personal tax situations should be since the law was crystal clear. Pilots who wanted the attempt a tax fraud should pay their own legal expenses. It should not come from my dues.
