I can't attest, 37 no bulky case, BUT, I carry the EFB and the battery in the case and have had no issue. There is also a sneaky zip expander pocket on the bottom that could easily fit the batttery and all wires if it's too deep for that an your case.
There is more room than I believe they let on. If through dtw or msp, they have stop over stores. You could even give them a call, I'm sure other guys have been in for that exact question.
They've been really good about my pursuit of the perfect man-bag.
